The Pavilions
Mobile Health Expo is excited to announce Pavilions on the exhibit floor. Each pavilion represents a channel of the mobile health ecosystem. The pavilions include:
University Forum
The University Forum will feature the nation's leading educational institutions that are focused on educating tomorrow's physicians and caregivers with current and future mobile technology.
The University Forum allows both exhibitors and attendees to learn about the cutting-edge mobile applications and trends that are fundamentally altering how healthcare is delivered, and how universities are training our future caregivers.
App Universe
The App Universe is designed to highlight iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and all other mobile phone and tablet device application developers who are creating apps for hospitals, physicians, pharmaceutical companies, insurance providers and patients.
This special event area on the show floor will be THE place to see all the latest and greatest apps being used in healthcare across the globe.
Disease Management
Wound Care, Diabetes, Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, Pulmonary Diseases, Mental Health Diseases, Weight Management, and AIDs are some examples of ongoing chronic diseases that need to be managed in order to improve outcomes and decrease emergency episodes. There is a need to decrease the cost and burden to the health care ecosystem due to circumstances that could have been prevented with timely, proper monitoring and communication. This pavilion will focus on solutions to manage these types of diseases using mobile technologies
Healthcare in the Cloud
The Healthcare in the Cloud pavilion will focus on showcasing cloud solutions and HAAS-Healthcare as a service solutions. The cutting edge technology will be showcased here.
Ageing in Place
There is an increase in demand for services due to market forces such as baby boomers ageing. With this increased demand there are also projected decreases in providers and skilled professionals. Additionally, access for the elderly is sometimes difficult. These scenarios will focus on showcasing solutions to allow the comfort of ageing at home using wireless mobile solutions
Patient Education
Health Education can be delivered through new channels using new methods to communicate real-time data wherever/whenever. An informed patient and family is an empowered patient and family. This pavilion focus on solutions that educate using all types of mediums and mobile technologies. From disease specific to procedure specific to general wellness to prevention- mobile solutions are being used to educate the patient, the family, the consumer and everything in between
Health Inclusion™ in Developed and Emerging Countries
Access to services in developed countries is still a very large problem for many. Veterans in rural communities miles from VA hospitals; Maternal Services and Well Baby Care to poverty stricken populations, STD diagnosis and treatment services, Dental and Vision exams in poverty stricken populations are some examples. This pavilion will focus on solutions to provide care to populations that are at risk and are difficult to reach in the typical brick and mortar care delivery settings
Mobile Wallets/Mobile Payments
Benefits have traditionally been managed through a static identification card and a time consuming, labor intensive, process of eligibility, authorization, utilization and payment mechanisms. This pavilion focus on solutions that make the mobile phone a "mobile wallet" and allow the benefits managers and insurance companies to offer many more services, with real time interactions and location specific data and solutions
Gaming for Better Health
Using games to rehab from injuries or surgeries; fitness games using bio sensory devices to keep score and move players based on the exercise completed by the wearer; and using games to teach, educate and entertain are just some examples of how games can be used to improve health. This pavilion focus on solutions that use games to improve the outcome or wellness of their players
Educating tomorrow's physicians
Tomorrow's Physicians and Caregivers will use technology at the point of care unlike any generation before them. Telehealth will be a normal part of their routine and personal devices will be integral to their workflow. This pavilion focus on the tools and technologies that will help educate the future providers and prepare them for a world of connected health
